In 1894, Pasquale Vena, a pioneer in liqueur production, created and started to sell Amaro Lucano. His sons Leonardo and Giuseppe inherited the secret, ancient recipe which is still used today in the present production at the Pisticci Scalo factory near Matera. The product’s genuine quality is guaranteed by century-old experience. Its simple and natural aroma and good taste give Amaro Lucano the wide-spread and natural aroma and good taste, give Amaro Lucano the wide-spread fame which reckons it among the most natural and high quality liqueurs.
